Police have said they are investigating a fatal collision on Cayman Brac on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident, a single vehicle crash, happened just after 2pm Tuesday, a police statement said.
No details were provided regarding the fatality in the incident, however the Cayman Compass understands one person was killed.
The collision took place on South Side West Road in Cayman Brac.
Police said the Bluff Road along South Side West, in the area of the public beach, is currently closed while officers are carrying out investigations at this time.
The public is being advised to avoid this area if possible and to expect delays.
The RCIPS Traffic and Road Policing Unit’s accident re-constructionists have been activated and will be attending Cayman Brac from Grand Cayman to assist with the investigation.
