The Cayman Islands Football Association Men’s Premier League wrapped up its 2022 season on Sunday, 8 May, with teams playing for pride and position in the table.

After being declared league champions on 30 April, Scholars ISC faced off for the last time this season against rival Bodden Town FC, with the teams playing to a 1-1 draw at the Haig Bodden Stadium. Scholars’s Kimani Finn and Bodden Town’s Theron Wood scored the match’s only goals.

Elite SC, who finished second in the standings, closed out their season with a 3-1 win against fellow West Bay squad Future SC at the Ed Bush Stadium. Elite’s Christopher Reeves netted two of his team’s three goals, with Shakur Silburn also finding the back of the net. Jared Yates scored Future’s only goal.

Sunset FC wrapped up their season on a high with a 2-1 victory over Academy SC at the Academy Sports Field. Sunset’s Anthony Nelson and Rolly Bodden each scored, with Miles Baillas-Thompson securing a goal for his team.

Over at the Annex, George Town SC failed yet again to record their first win for the season, drawing 2-2 with East End United. Lorenzo Howard and Deondre Bodden each scored for East End, while Tex Whitelocke and Marvin Allen netted goals for George Town.

For George Town, though, their season isn’t quite finished. As they are sitting last in the table, George Town will have to face off against CIFA First Division League winner Roma USC in an effort to stave off relegation.

If Roma wins, they will be promoted to the Premier League for the 2022-23 season.
