
Thomas signs with Hungerford Town FC
Leighton Thomas has signed with Hungerford Town Football Club in England. The team, which is a member of the National League South, the sixth tier of English football, made the announcement earlier this month.
Thomas, 23, was the top scorer for his former team, Paulton Rovers last season, with 31 goals in 36 appearances.
According to Hungerford’s website, the Caymanian said he is hoping to get the golden boot for his new team.
“It feels great to be here”, he said, noting that his sights are set “on being the top goal scorer next season”.

CONCACAF ranks Frederick as top defender
Cayman Islands star footballer Joshewa Frederick-Charlery was ranked among League C Best XI for the CONCACAF Nations League.
Cayman has played three times thus far, drawing twice with BVI and losing 0-3 to Puerto Rico.
While his team’s performance has been lacklustre, his individual talent did not go unnoticed, being one of three defenders recognised by CONCACAF.
“Frederick-Charlery was an absolute workhorse for the Cayman Islands, finishing with 15 clearances and six steals in their two matches,” CONCACAF said about the 25-year-old.

CIFA women’s FA Cup final set for 26 June
Scholars ISC will be taking on Sunset in the Cayman Islands Football Association FA Cup final. Scholars comes to the final after defeating Latinos FC 2-0 in their semi-final encounter last month.
Sunset advanced after defeating Elite SC 3-1 in a penalty shoot-out on Wednesday, 22 June.
They will be looking to capture their second domestic trophy this season, having already won the CIFA President’s Cup.
The match between the two finalists will kick off at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex in George Town at 6pm on Sunday, 26 June.
