Caymanian professional footballer Joshewa Frederick-Charlery has marked a successful transition to the Lynx Football Club in Gibraltar.

The 29-year-old center back officially signed with the Gibraltar-based side on 29 Jan. following what he described as “two good seasons” with Kajaanin Haka in Finland.

Reflecting on his time with Kajaani in 2024-2025, Frederick-Charlery said, “The first season I arrived, we finished mid-table, but the second season we finished second place losing the league title by one point.”

As Frederick-Charlery continues to settle in with Lynx FC, he said, “Personally I want to play as much games as possible and hopefully help the club compete for the league and cup titles for next season. I feel this was the right decision for me as it’s a good place to showcase my abilities and opportunities for growth.”

Frederick-Charlery made his debut match for Lynx on 21 Feb. in a Gibraltar Premier League fixture against St Joseph’s FC. The match resulted in a 1-0 victory for Lynx.
