According to Mercedes Foy, manager of women’s rugby, the South Sound pitch was flooded on Monday, 26 Sept., but the clubhouse did not sustain any damage.
“Cayman RFU staff… worked hard to secure everything before storm Ian,” Foy told the Compass. “[The] pitch was flooded… but is drying out well today. Work has begun to get the field ready for the first round of RF Bank & Trust October 7s Series.”
The rugby series will take place this Saturday, 1 Oct., starting at 1pm.
