Which roads will be closed ahead of National Heroes Day?

Road closures for the long weekend will be in place from Friday evening.

Ahead of National Heroes Day on Monday, 23 Jan. government has clarified that the following roads will be closed to “facilitate the… celebrations”.

From 6pm on Friday, 20 Jan. to 3pm on Monday, 23 Jan.:

  • Fort Street will be closed between Seafarers Way and Edward Street.
  • Edward Street will be closed at the junctions of Main Street and Cardinall Avenue.
  • Edward Street will be temporarily closed at the junction of Dr Roy’s Drive.
  • Albert Panton Street will be closed at the junction of Cardinall Avenue.

The roads will temporarily reopen from 12am to 12pm on Saturday, 21 Jan.

Local access will be permitted.

In a post on its Facebook page, government apologised for the inconvenience and advised the community to check the RCIPS website for more information.
