Man charged with 8 offences after violating protection order

A 29-year-old man, of Bodden Town, has been charged with eight offences following domestic violence incidents that occurred over four days last week.

Police said the man appeared in court today, 20 Feb., charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, threats to kill, wrongful confinement, and damage to property.

According to the RCIPS, the man was subject to a protection order relating to the victim, so has also been charged with two counts of breach of a protection order.

He was further charged with assaulting police and attempting to escape lawful custody, in relation to his actions following his arrest on 16 Feb.
