The Cayman Islands makes an appearance in three of Trip Advisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best categories this year – best beach, best nature destination and next trending destination.
Cayman placed sixth in the top 25 trending destinations, behind Cuba, Hoi An in Vietnam, Mauritius, Siem Reap in Cambodia, and Chiang Mai in Thailand.
The award listing states, “The farther you go from Grand Cayman’s busy docks, the more peace and quiet you’ll find. At Stingray City (actually a sandbar), stingrays swim alongside you in the tranquil waters. Closer to town, travelers report finding some of the best massage and spa services anywhere in the Caribbean.”

Cayman was listed as the eighth best nature destination in the world by Trip Advisor reviewers, in a category that includes Mauritius, Kathmandu in Nepal, the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, Hurghada on Egypt’s Red Sea Coast, Lombok in Indonesia, Kauai in Hawaii and Spain’s Majorca island.
Trip Advisor users consider Cayman’s flagship Seven Mile Beach to be among the best. It was placed 14th in the best beaches in the world category, and fourth in the best beaches in the Caribbean.
That award listing noted, “Perfect turquoise water that can be seen for miles, clean soft sifted sand. If you haven’t been to Seven Mile Beach, then you are truly missing out.”
The Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best is based on reviews and ratings from Trip Advisor users over the past 12 months.
