The list of selected studios, which Mix features as new recording spaces, is called the ‘Class of 2023’.

Ironshore was shortlisted in the sixth spot, which Jacob Olde, chief executive officer of Ironshore Studios, described as a great achievement.

“Ironshore Studios is a state-of-the-art recording facility offering technical equipment and capabilities in line with its global counterparts. We knew this, coupled with our unique, inspiring setting, would make us stand out in a competitive industry but it is rewarding for an industry leader like Mix to recognise this, too,” Olde told the Compass.

He added that each year the Mix ‘Class of…’ edition features most of the world’s best recording facilities opened that year from an invitation-only list of top studio designers.

Ironshore Studios was created by award-winning studio designer Jeff Hedback of HdAcoustics, who has had several other facilities featured in previous Mix ‘Class of…’ listings.

“He worked closely with a team of artisans to make Ironshore a state-of-the-art, cutting-edge facility capable of fulfilling any and all music, film and audio production work at every level,” Nathan McLean, Ironshore Studios chief operating officer, told the Compass.

Ironshore and HdAcoustics, he said, worked together on the Mix submission, which included detailed technical specifications to professional photography.
