Police are searching for a masked gunman who robbed the ticket booth of a waterfront bar.
In a statement released on Saturday 10 June, a police spokesperson said the incident occurred shortly after 12am at a bar along North Church Street, George Town.
“It was reported that a masked man approached a ticket booth at that location, brandished a firearm and demanded money from the workers there,” police said.
“The man pushed one of the workers to the ground and then made off with a money till containing a quantity of cash. The man was last seen riding a bicycle in the direction of Mary Street. No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.”
Police say the suspect is a slim-built male about 5’6″ tall. At the time he was wearing a dark hoodie and a black ski mask.
