CAYCUBS
Located in The Grove, this multi-sensory indoor play facility and event space caters for kids aged 0-10. The facility is separated into a baby area for children aged 0-23 months, and a Cub Playtime area for those aged 2-10 years old with climbing, sliding, ball shoots and more. An adjoining cafe serves food and beverages, allowing parents and caregivers to relax while their children play.

SPLASH AT SEAFIRE

The Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa’s SPLASH water park is open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to non-guests and guest children 12 years and younger, for $25 per person. The park has numerous water-based features. Access is based on availability, and the water park also hosts buy-out birthday parties.

STARFISH CAY
Starfish Cay at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, provides a zero-entry splash pool, a magical cove with interactive water nozzles and sail down gentle water slides. A huge bright bucket suspended above also provides a refreshing waterfall when it upturns. Day passes are available to island residents, providing an opportunity to enjoy the interactive water park with friends and family throughout the year. CAYMAN TURTLE CENTRE
The Turtle Centre is always a great place to spend the day. Wander the grounds learning about turtle conservation and catch feeding time for the turtles, birds, sharks and other predators. Meander nature trails or the Cayman Street, featuring replicas of Cayman-style houses and gardens. Swim with turtles in their lagoon or hit the Turtle Twister Waterslide as many times as you want. Open seven days a week, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m, with last admission at 4 p.m.

PARROT SANCTUARY
At the other end of the island, Cayman Parrot Sanctuary is a great interactive experience for the whole family. The centre rehabilitates parrots for re-release, as well as being a home for numerous animals which you can meet upon visiting. Cayman parrots, snakes, guinea pigs, various reptiles, and agoutis – the most famous of which is Lil Bit. A playground and zipline, as well as access to meals from nearby Tukka, make it a great day trip out. Open Wednesday through Sunday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

CAYMAN CRYSTAL CAVES
An excellent way to beat the summer heat is to seek refuge in a cool and shaded cave. Take a guided walking tour at Cayman Crystal Caves, with tours running on the hour, every hour, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tours are around 90 minutes, with visitors walking through the surrounding tropical forest and three caves of varying sizes and features.

KIDS CLUB AT THE CINEMA
Camana Bay Cinema holds Kids Club every week on Saturday at 10 a.m. With brighter lights and softer sound, and playing classic family favourites, this is a great morning activity out of the sun. CAYMAN RIDING SCHOOL PONY RIDES
Pony rides are offered every Saturday morning at Cayman Riding School on Hirst Road from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. All ponies are well trained and kidfriendly and there are lots of other farm animals to interact with such as donkeys, goats and chickens. A play area with swing, slides and climbing frames is also on site. No prior experience is necessary and riding helmets are provided. Entry is $5 per person.

KAIBO FERRY

Pack up a picnic and the kids’ scooters and hitch a ferry ride across the North Sound to Kaibo. The short journey leaves from Camana Bay, and once over the water you can enjoy meals at Kaibo, a wander down the beach to Starfish Point, or a scooter around the quiet roads of Rum Point. STRIKE ZONE
Head to this laser tag arena in Cannon Place for a high-energy family fun activity. Great for kids aged six and older, although adults will love it too. KINGS GYM
As well as other entertainment amenities, Kings Gym has a bowling alley and climbing wall which are both sure to keep kids and adults entertained for a few hours. King Pin Bowling can host 24 bowlers with its four lanes, and six bowlers, max, per lane. MOTIONS UNLIMITED GYMNASTICS
While the gym will be closed for the month of July as Motions gymnasts travel to the Inter-Island Games, they are re-opening in August and are a perfect place for young kids to burn some energy. Toddler play days, which cater for kids 8 months – 5 years, will take place on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. Kids can run around the gym, enjoying trampolines, balance beams, padded play equipment, zip line and more.
