Cops appeal for help to locate missing teen

Police are appealing for the public’s help to locate 16-year-old Joshua Whittaker, who was reported missing on Tuesday.

“Officers are encouraging Joshua to return to home or attend the nearest police station immediately,” the RCIPS said in a statement issued Friday morning.

Whittaker, police said, was last seen on Monday when he left home.

He has not returned since.

The teen is described as being about 6’ 5” tall, slim built and of a light brown complexion.

Police are also reminding the public that anyone who harbours or conceals a young person, is guilty of an offence and is liable, on conviction, to being fined $2,000 and to imprisonment for three months.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222 or the M.A.S.H Unit at 649-6000.

Anonymous tips can be provided directly to the RCIPS by calling its confidential tip line at 949-7777, or via the police website.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Cayman Crime Stoppers website.
