After a three-year hiatus, the Health Services Authority and the Red Cross have relaunched year-round free HIV testing.
Testing began Thursday, 17 Aug., and will continue on every third Tuesday of the month, from 10am to 2pm, at the Red Cross building on Huldah Avenue in George Town, the Public Health Department has advised.
No appointment is necessary.
Anyone seeking testing or counselling must indicate to the nurse that they would like to register for free HIV screening. The results will be available in three working days and given to the patient only, who will be contacted directly by the attending nurse, the department noted.
For more information about Free HIV Testing, contact interim HIV/AIDS Coordinator Jennifer Miller at 938-4703.
