Senior citizens from all three islands took centre stage to showcase a variety of different talents during the 2023 ‘Ageing Your Way’ show at the Harquail Theatre on Thursday, 20 Oct.

The event was part of Older Persons Month, organised by the Ministry of Youth and Culture and the Department of Children and Family Services.

In a nearly-packed theatre, attendees were entertained by more than 20 people, aged 65 and older, who were given the platform to share their musical, dancing, magic, comedic and vocal talents.

“Older Persons Month has continuously created events and activities for our seniors to enjoy, from tea parties to garden tours, gala events and socials,” said Bernie Bush, minister of culture and heritage, in his opening remarks. “Each have been an opportunity for our older persons to get out, be active, stay engaged, and to mix and mingle.”
