A woman reported missing early this morning has been found safely.
According to the police press office, the woman’s friend, who was in distress, called police at 1:45am on 30 Dec.
Police and other emergency services went to Jasmine Blossom Way in George Town where the report was made.
Officers immediately conducted a search of the location and surrounding area for the missing woman.
Also taking part in the search were the police Air Operations Unit, police dogs and family members of the missing woman, a police press release said.
The search for the missing woman continued into the daylight hours.
She was located safely at about 7.45am. She is now with family members and appears to be in good health, police said.
The woman’s friend had minor injuries and was taken in an ambulance to Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment. She has since been released.
The press office told the Compass: “The current line of investigation does not reveal that anyone else was involved in the incident.”
Further details, including the circumstances of the disappearance, have not been released.
