For such a small country, Cayman excels at fireworks displays, and New Year’s Eve offers some excellent viewing options for those looking for a show.
Here are four options for your viewing pleasure:
GEORGE TOWN
Grand Old House on South Church Street in George Town has midnight fireworks visible to those dining at their New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner, or by anyone in the surrounding area. Smith Cove is a good spot to check them out.
SEVEN MILE BEACH
Set a blanket down anywhere on Seven Mile Beach and you will get a front-row seat to numerous displays set off by restaurants and hotels along the beach. The Ritz-Carlton, the Kimpton Seafire, The Westin and the Marriott usually put on a good show, with other beachside restaurants joining in.
CAMANA BAY
Camana Bay’s fireworks display takes place at 8pm. Perfect for families with children (and adults) who won’t be up when the clock strikes midnight, and great for those who snag a dinner reservation at one of the restaurants lining the Crescent. Be sure to book early.
KAIBO
Those in the Rum Point area will benefit from a spellbinding fireworks display given by Kaibo, whose New Year’s Eve dinner includes dancing on the beach and a gorgeous display in the night’s sky.
