A pedestrian is in serious but stable condition in hospital after being hit by a pick-up truck on North Church Street in George Town.
Just after 8am on Tuesday, 9 Jan., police officers responded to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a burgundy Honda Acty truck, south of Wahoo Close.
Emergency services attended the scene and took the victim to Cayman Islands Hospital to be treated for what police described as “serious but non-life-threatening injuries”.
The pedestrian remained in stable condition as of 10 Jan.
The driver of the Honda, who was uninjured, was breath-tested and returned a negative result, police said.
