Two people have been hospitalised, with one in critical but stable condition, following a single-vehicle crash in East End in the early hours of Friday.
Police, in a statement, said a man sustained critical injuries, and a woman suffered serious injuries, from the crash, which occurred at around 12:45am on Friday on Seaview Road, east of Health City.
Another woman was treated at hospital and discharged, police said.
The RCIPS said initial investigations indicate a Honda Fit was travelling west on Seaview Road, when it left the roadway and hit a light pole on the opposite side of the road.
The three people were extracted from the vehicle and taken to Cayman Islands Hospital.
The two women in the vehicle have since been arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Police, in response to Cayman Compass queries, said this was done as investigations are ongoing to establish the driver of the vehicle.
The road was initially fully closed to enable police to investigate in the aftermath of the collision.
The roadway has since been reopened.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information relating to the crash to contact the Bodden Town Police Station on 947-2220.
