Construction continues steady lead in local job openings

Even as job postings on the Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman portal dipped slightly in May, construction maintained its lead as the industry with the most openings for two consecutive months.

Data in the latest job postings report from the WORC Labour Market Demand Unit, shared with the Cayman Compass, showed that there were 1,671 jobs from all sectors posted during May 2024 compared to 1,717 postings in April.

Based on April and May figures, the construction industry accounted for the highest number of job postings for those two months.
