Feathers, sequins, cowboy hats, wings and glitter were the order of the day Saturday as masqueraders made their way through the streets in this year’s CayMAS Carnival.

The parade wound its way from Boilers Road in downtown George Town, where participants began gathering at noon for the 2pm start, and ended up at Public Beach, where a huge party awaited.

Here is a selection of some of the best shots from the day.

  1. I spent this Monday morning picking up trash from the parade up and down west bay road and at Governors Beach Parking lot. Shameful how little regard for our Island is demonstrated by those celebrating our heritage.
