A woman in West Bay was targeted by two men who grabbed her, threatened her and stole her handbag, according to a police report made Saturday.

Police were contacted shortly before 8:30am that day about the incident, which reportedly took place that morning around 5am.

The woman was targeted by the two men, both covering their faces with tshirts, while standing near the intersection of Neon Close and Mount Pleasant Road, police said. She was not injured.

“She was approached by two men with their faces covered, who grabbed her and made threats. The men then robbed her of a handbag containing personal belongings and cash before leaving the scene in a silver Honda vehicle,” said a Royal Cayman Islands Police Service press release.

One man was described as being more than 6’ tall and the other described as being short with a stocky build.
