Police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding and returning missing teenaged girls Aaliyah Carter and Naima Calita Tatum to their respective homes.
Carter, 16, was reported missing on Friday and was last seen along Apple Blossom off Captain Joe & Osbourne Road in West Bay around 8pm.
She is described as of medium build, about 5 foot 5 inches in height, with light complexion, and was wearing black jeans pants, a black polo shirt and black sneakers.
Tatum. 14, has been missing since Wednesday.
She was last seen at her residence in West Bay around 3:45pm on Wednesday, a police statement said Saturday night.
Tatum is described as around 5 foot 5 inches in height, of slim build, with medium brown complexion, and with black natural hair.
She was last seen wearing a pink sweater and black tights.
Police are encouraging the girls to return home or attend the nearest police station immediately.
“Members of the public are encouraged not to harbour these teens, but instead to call 911 immediately if either of them are seen, or if their whereabouts is known, for their own safety,” police warned.
Anyone who harbours or conceals a young person is guilty of an offense and is liable, on conviction, to being fined $2,000 and to imprisonment for three months, the RCIPS reminded.
Anyone with information the girls’ whereabouts is encouraged to call George Town Police Station at 949-4222 or the M.A.S.H Unit at 649-6000.
