Police arrested two men at Seven Mile Public Beach on Thursday following reports of drug activities in the area.
The first man was arrested after police responded to a report around 12:20pm. When they arrived, the RCIPS said, they identified a “suspicious individual”, who fled as they attempted to search him. The officers pursued the suspect on foot and caught him.
After finding drugs and a quantity of cash, police arrested the 19-year-old man, of North Side, for drug-related offences.
Soon after, around 1pm the same day, police responded to a report of an individual selling drugs and liquor at one of the cabanas at Public Beach.
When they searched him, they found a quantity of ganja and money. They arrested the 29-year-old man, of Bodden Town, on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja.
