Cayman National announced it is making a significant donation to support ongoing relief efforts in Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa.

In response to the widespread damage and urgent humanitarian needs created by the
category-5 storm, Cayman National is contributing US$80,000 to trusted relief
organisations including Rotary clubs that are working on the ground to provide emergency
shelter, medical care, food supplies, and long-term assistance to affected communities.

“We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa,” said Janet
Hislop, Cayman National CEO. “The historical connection between
Cayman and Jamaica cannot be over-emphasised. Cayman National is fully committed to
supporting the people of Jamaica as they rebuild and restore their livelihoods.”

Cayman National is also encouraging staff members who are interested in contributing to
relief efforts to organise bake sales and other fundraising initiatives. Clients attending
Cayman National’s annual Client Appreciation Reception on 19 Nov. were
also invited to donate to Rotary Cayman, further amplifying the impact and reach of the
relief provided.

“Jamaica has a long road of recovery ahead of them, but they stand supported by their
Caribbean family and the global community” added Hislop. “As a nation, Jamaicans are
known for their resilience, and I have no doubt they will build back stronger and better than ever.”
