The Cayman Motoring Federation has confirmed that five local esports athletes are currently representing the Cayman Islands in the 2026 Jamaica Simulation Racing Association Porsche Cup – Season 1 Sprint Series.

The Cayman contingent consists of Rich Dyer, Kavaun Green, Julian Narcisse, Ian Charlery and Karyll Iton.

“Competing against a full 48-car international grid, the drivers are gaining invaluable experience in a championship environment known for its professionalism, intensity, and high production standards,” said a Cayman Motoring Federation press release.

The JSRA Porsche Cup

The Porsche Cup is organised by the Jamaica Simulation Racing Association, led by president Stephen Stewart.

The event’s season is already well underway, having successfully completed the first three rounds beginning with the season opener in Braselton, Georgia on 23 Jan. followed by the second round in Monza, Italy on 30 Jan., and the third round in Rakkestad, Norway.

As the championship battle continues, the remaining five rounds will see the grid travel to a diverse mix of international circuits all between 13 Feb. through to 20 March.

Rudskogen on 6 Feb., the iconic Daytona on 13 Feb. and Virginia International Raceway on 27 Feb. The schedule concludes with a spring stretch featuring Circuit Navarra on 6 March, Snetterton on 13 March and the grand finale at Sebring on 20 March.

Each race weekend follows a structured professional format featuring official practice, qualifying, and two sprint races, including a reverse-grid feature race that rewards consistency and racecraft.

All events are streamed live with full commentary and professional broadcast production, bringing Caribbean sim racing to a worldwide audience, the Cayman Motoring Federation release said.

Cayman’s participation in the series reflects the Federation’s broader commitment to developing esports as an accessible pathway into motorsport. Through partnerships and regional collaboration – including the strong platform provided by JSRA – Cayman drivers are gaining exposure, discipline, and competitive experience that supports long-term growth, the release added.

Strategic Importance for Cayman Motorsport

The Cayman Motoring Federation describes Cayman’s participation in the series as a reflection of the federation’s broader commitment to developing esports as an accessible pathway into motorsport.

Ian Charlery, the federation’s chair of esports, said, “The Porsche Cup series is an important one as it allows drivers from different levels to compete together. The grid is massive and as a result you could find yourself having a challenging fun even if you are in P30. These events are a lot of fun. Thanks to JSRA for their hard work.”
