‘Significant milestone’
Ali Sozeri, Cayman FC’s director of football operations, said, “These were the first ever official matches/tournament for Cayman FC. This championship marks a significant milestone for the club and highlights the dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence that define Cayman FC.”
Sozeri added, “Since its launch in September 2025, the Cayman FC board has been driven by a clear vision: to provide footballing excellence for young players in the Cayman Islands, aligned with global Professional Academy Standards.”
Over the past six months, Sozeri said the club’s Union of European Football Associations-licensed coaching staff have worked diligently to establish a professional culture and implement elite training standards, with a strong emphasis on both player and team development.
“The FKK Winter Classic Championship serves as early validation of Cayman FC’s professional approach and coaching methodology.
“This achievement not only celebrates the accomplishments of the players and staff but also reinforces the club’s ambition to establish itself as a highly reputable football club across North America and the Caribbean,” Sozeri said.
