The Vanta Black Water Team Cup brought together many in the community to witness top level pickleball action on Cayman soil.
Hosted by Pickleball Cayman, the event came alive on 29-31 May as 16 Association of Pickleball Players professionals hit the courts.
The players were divided into four teams: Vanta Black Water Stingrays, Leggetts Legends Turtles, Quality Court Defenders and Yield Point Wranglers.
The teams battled it out across men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and sudden-death tiebreakers.
The Vanta Black Water Stingrays took to the court with Megan Fudge, Brandon Lane, Amanda Hendry, and Zack Marceau while the Leggetts Legends Turtles were powered by Max Manthou, Emilia Schmidt, Jack Foster, and Amber Policare.
The Quality Court Defenders consisted of Richard Livornese Jr., Allison Harris, Andre Mick, and Kelsey Laurente, while the Yield Point Wranglers rounded out the tournament with Zack Taylor, Ryler DeHeart, Riley Bohnert, and Kelsey Grambeau.
Everything built toward an intense final day on Sunday, 31 May, beginning with two semi-final matchups.

The Stingrays kicked off the day by defeating the Wranglers while the Defenders lost to the Turtles in the second semi-final.
Ultimately, it was Stingrays and Turtles who earned their spots in the evening’s grand finale with Stingrays taking the championship cup.
