1. These payment terms (the “Payment Terms”) set forth an agreement between you (“you”, the “Subscriber”) and Compass Media (“us”, “we”, “Compass Media”) with respect to our subscription services (“Subscriptions”) and other paid services made available by us.
2. These terms supplement and should be read in conjunction with the Compass Media Terms of Use at https://www.caymancompass.com/terms-of-use/ and the privacy policy at https://www.caymancompass.com/privacy-policy/ which will also apply to your Subscription. Any capitalised terms used in these Payment Terms which are not defined herein shall have the meanings set out in the Terms of Use.
3. Subscription is a paid service and includes unlimited access to caymancompass.com articles.

5. You must be 18 years or older to Subscribe.
6. By registering to become a Subscriber, you agree that you have given us accurate registration details, including payment information and personal details (including age) and will ensure that we always have up to date contact information. You acknowledge that you are responsible for keeping your account and password secure. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. Compass Media reserves the right to deny or cancel orders, and may, in its sole discretion, terminate or suspend accounts.
7. When you Subscribe, you agree to pay for and authorise us to charge your payment method for the cost of Subscription and to continue your Subscription until cancelled and, on a recurring monthly or annual basis, to charge the payment method you provided the then-current monthly or annual cost of your Subscription if you do not cancel within the relevant cancellation period. By choosing a recurring payment plan, you acknowledge that such Services have an initial and recurring payment feature and you accept responsibility for all recurring charges prior to cancellation.
8. From time to time Compass Media may provide readers with the option to enrol in a trial offer of our Subscription. Such offer is governed by the Payment Terms, the Terms of Use, and any terms presented to you when you sign up for the offer. Our trial offers may convert to a paid Subscription if you do not cancel before the free trial ends. In those circumstances, we may ask you to provide an applicable billing payment method to register for the trial offer. You agree that Compass may obtain a pre-authorisation for the full Subscription price that you will be automatically charged if you complete the trial and continue the Subscription. It is possible that some financial institutions may perceive these requested amounts as actual pending charges. These are not actual charges, and you agree that Compass will not be responsible for any results, such as an overdraft fee, that may occur to your account with a financial institution as a result of such authorisations. At the end of your stated trial period, your Subscription will automatically continue on a rolling monthly or annual basis at the standard rate notified to you at the time of purchase.
9. Payment can be made using all major credit or debit cards and via PayPal. Currency conversion values may fluctuate and conversion fees may be charged by your bank. By submitting payment details to us, you confirm that you are entitled to purchase a subscription using those payment details. The terms of your payment will be based on your payment method and may be determined by agreements between you and the financial institution, credit card issuer or other provider of your chosen payment method.
10. We may use a third-party payment processor (the “Processor”) to bill the payment method you provide. The processing of payments will be subject to the terms, conditions and privacy policies of the Processor in addition to these Payment Terms. We are not responsible for any error by the Processor. By choosing to Subscribe, you authorize us, through the Payment Processor, to charge your chosen payment provider. We reserve the right to correct any errors or mistakes that the Processor makes even if it has already requested or received payment.
11. We reserve the right to change your Subscription price and/or benefits with 30 days’ notice. You may terminate your Subscription within this notice period.
12. If you default on any payment, or if your payment method is declined we may suspend your Subscription and contact you to arrange payment of outstanding amounts. If you wish to re-Subscribe, we have the right to require payment in full of any outstanding amount owed to us.
13. We may, at any time and at our sole discretion, terminate your Subscription with us where we believe that we have grounds to terminate (for example, for non-payment or breach of these or Compass Media’s other terms). In the event that Compass Media terminates your account due to an actual or suspected breach of terms, services purchased in according with these Payment Terms may be forfeited without any refund.
14. We may screen your name and address against credit reference and fraud prevention databases when we decide whether or not to accept your application for Subscription.
15. You may cancel your Subscription by logging into your account and cancelling under your subscriptions tab, visiting https://www.caymancompass.com/subscribe/digital-subscriptions/, or by calling us on +1 (345) 949-5111 or by emailing us at [email protected].
16. If you cancel within 14 days of ordering your Subscription your cancellation will be subject to our refund policy at https://www.caymancompass.com/refund-policy/.
17. If you cancel outside that 14-day window, you must contact us at least 2 business days before your next payment date. If you do not provide such notice, you will be required to make your next payment and your Subscription will continue until the end of the next Subscription period (which may be one month or one year, depending on the Subscription you have chosen).
18. We may amend these Payment Terms at any time without notice and will post the revised terms at https://www.caymancompass.com/legal. You will be deemed to have accepted these Payment Terms by your continued use after notice has been posted.
19. Compass Media has the right to make targeted special promotions and sponsorships to certain community groups (including, but not limited to, students or pensioners) from time to time in its sole discretion. Compass Media reserves the right to make certain articles available to all readers for free, regardless of Subscription.

21. Compass Media use some data, and an internet connection is required to download articles. Standard data and usage charges instituted by your carrier may apply (and are not included in any subscription fee paid to Compass Media) and you are solely responsible for such charges. Check with your mobile carrier regarding the terms of your individual data or usage plan and before traveling to another country.
22. Our subscriptions are subject to Cayman Islands law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Cayman Islands courts.
