Cayman Brac’s Heritage House is holding an exhibit featuring a “Now and Then” display.

In a show of community spirit, the people of Cayman Brac came together for a day of fun and culture at last weekend’s Pirates Week Heritage Day.

A group of Northward Prison inmates were in Bodden Town recently, helping to spruce up some outdoor areas. The prisoners carried out cleanup work at the Harry McCoy Sr. Park, Nurse Josie’s Senior Centre and Heritage House. As well as tidying up certain areas, the inmates also removed old and rotted thatch from cabana roofs in the park.

The Heritage House will be showcasing Cayman Brac’s marine heritage with a new exhibit this month.

The Brac YMCA culture camp wrapped up last week, with children learning about Cayman’s history and heritage on the Sister Islands.

Heritage House on Cayman Brac recently hosted a variety of events providing lots of fun learning opportunities for children.

A newly renovated house at Harry McCoy Sr. Park opened to the public Monday with a large display of artifacts.

The Bodden Town Heritage Committee and elected representatives invite the public to attend the dedication service and reopening of the renovated Heritage House at Harry McCoy Sr. Park on Monday, June 13, at 4 p.m.

There has been a lot of activity at the Brac Heritage House in recent weeks, with locals and visitors taking part in a number of events.
