Students who want to help protect turtle nests, survey coral reefs and find out more about and help with environmental issues on Grand Cayman may have an opportunity to do so this summer.

Students at George Town’s John Gray High School got the chance to hear about career options in the legal field late last month from a local law firm. Representatives Lisa Chin-Forde, Kenyah Pinnock and Sophie Davies from HSM IP discussed the firm’s internship possibilities.

Save Cayman has partnered with dive company Divetech, Cayman Sea Elements, the Department of Environment, the National Trust and the Blue Iguana Recovery Program to offer the Environmental Ambassadors Programme, starting this summer.

Red Sail Sports said goodbye last week to four students who had been with the company as interns since September.

Law firm Walkers will open the application process for its 2016 legal scholarships, internship and articled clerk programs on Friday, March 18.
