A new inspection report has raised the profile of John Gray High School from a failing school to one that is now deemed satisfactory.

The redesign of the new John Gray High School is a chance to “do it right,” according to the school’s principal Jon Clark.

Work on the new John Gray High School is not expected to resume until mid-2019, with a multi-stage assessment process planned over the next two years to determine the best way to complete the project.

A year into the job, John Gray High School Principal Jon Clark says he is “loving the challenge” of transforming the school. Mr. Clark, who took over Cayman’s biggest high school in February 2016, believes the school is heading in the right direction.

Teenagers from John Gray High School got a crash course in the do’s and don’ts of fine dining Wednesday at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman in a program aimed at giving them the social skills to take their mothers out to dinner. “For one or two of them, it is the first time they have been at The Ritz-Carlton.”
