Sharon Roulstone was just named the Cayman Islands new deputy ombudsman in January, but she’s already been seconded to another government department for a post that is expected to last for at least a year, possibly two.

The Cayman Islands government is taking its first tangible step toward creating a new “human resources” agency that will take over some of the work permit services now provided by the Immigration Department.

A survey to gauge the level of service offered by the Department of Immigration ends at midnight, Friday, July 28. Participants who cannot or do not want to participate in the “Process Improvement Project” survey online can use a paper version.
