What began nearly two decades ago as a small holiday visit by a handful of kindergarteners has grown into a cherished Christmas tradition at the Pines Retirement Home, bringing together children and elders.

Children, pageant queens and other volunteers visited The Pines Retirement Home this week to help bring Christmas cheer to its elderly residents.

Pamela Webster has been appointed as the new chief executive officer of the National Children’s Voluntary Organisation, one of Cayman’s longest standing charities, co-founded in 1974 by Olive Miller. 

Governor Anwar Choudhury visited The Pines Retirement Home Friday, where he met residents and staff of the home.

The Lions Club of Grand Cayman, in partnership with Carnival Cruise Lines, donated a patient lift, valued at more than $4,000, to The Pines on Feb. 1.
