Topic: sea urchins

The Department of Environment has renewed a call for residents to alert it if they come across dead or dying long-spined sea urchins, as reports continue to grow throughout the Caribbean of a mass die-off of the creatures.

Long-spined sea urchins are mysteriously dying across the Caribbean, in what appears to be a repeat of a mass die-off that occurred in the 1980s, and from which the population was still recovering.
