Mrs. Eloise Reid, who joined Health Services in 1976, has given 29 years of ‘outstanding and distinguished service and leadership to the Health Services in numerous capacities including her recent tenure as Chief Executive Officer,’ states a press release.
‘Mrs. Reid has played a significant role in the development of the Health Services to the world class centre of medical excellence which it is today, so much so that the name Eloise Reid has become synonymous with the Health Services in the Cayman Islands,’ the release said. ‘Her retirement will leave a significant void in the service and she will be greatly missed.’
In 1991, she was honoured by Her Majesty the Queen with a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) award for her services to healthcare in the Cayman Islands.
As CEO Mrs. Reid recently led the development of a five-year strategic plan for the Health Services which will form the blueprint for the further development of a sustainable healthcare system for the people of these islands.
The Board recognizes and thanks Mrs. Reid for the many years of dedication to the Cayman Islands Health Services and extends its best wishes on her retirement, the release said.
