Three charges, including murder, were brought against Carlos Renton Russell when he appeared in Summary Court yesterday.
Russell, 42, is accused of murdering Phillip Wayne Watler, 28, at the George Town Hospital 30 March.
The defendant had been brought to court last week on a holding charge of possessing an unlicensed firearm, including a .38 revolver, plus spent and live ammunition.
Two further firearms charges have been laid, both relating to a .38 revolver on the same day.
Russell is charged with possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and unlawful use of a firearm.
Details of the second allege that he unlawfully discharged the revolver at two named police officers.
Crown Counsel Marlene Smith did not elaborate on the charges because Russell did not have a lawyer.
He was scheduled to return to court 13 April.
