The Bank of America and the Stauffer Foundation has come to the aid of the Pines Retirement Home.
On Thursday, Managing Director Garry Crossan along with Trust Officer Nancy Bush presented Pines Manager Sue Nicholson with a US$25,000 donation.
The money will go to the purchase of a specially adapted bus with wheel chair accessibility.
Ms Nicholson noted that because of the lack of proper transportation, residents who have limited mobility were unable to take part in outings, attend appointments and participate in community events.
