Pirates Week is set to return this November under the theme of “Spirits, Gold and Glory”, with popular features such as the night parade, song competition and T-shirt contest all making a comeback.
Culture Minister Isaac Rankine is promising that the festival, now in its 49th year, would be “even bigger and better” in 2026, with the theme reflecting the “strength, mystery, resilience and adventurous spirit” of the Cayman Islands’ national festival.
Pirates Week 2026 will run as usual across all three islands, starting on Cayman Brac on 30-31 Oct., then arriving on Grand Cayman from 6-14 Nov. and finishing on Little Cayman on 20-21 Nov.
Launching an official promotional video for this year’s festival, Rankine said, “Building on the momentum of last year, we are committed to making this year’s festival even more dynamic, engaging and memorable for residents and visitors alike.” He added that government would be working with the business community to deliver “an even stronger festival experience”.
