Centre takes security in growth

The Security Centre Limited recently celebrated its fifth year anniversary by hosting a cocktail reception for clients and friends at its newly renovated offices in Cayman Business Park.

The Security Centre Limited was formed in 2000 out of the merger of two long standing Caymanian companies, Five Star Security Services and Security Countermeasures International, which joined forces with the Bermuda Security Group, the islands largest security company.

With 29 employees in April 2000, the company has now grown to over 100 members of staff operating under two divisions, Security Systems and Security Services, states a press release.

‘It is extremely satisfying to see the company grow in the manner in which it has’ says the company’s President and Chief Executive, Stuart Bostock.

‘We set out to be recognized for our quality services and professional approach but have now grown to be one of the islands largest providers and the only real full service provider’.

The Security Centre Limited provides the full range of security and life safety solutions. The Security Systems Division, headed by Eddy Lewis provides the full range of electronic security and life safety products to include: burglar and fire alarms, access control systems, video surveillance systems and a twenty four hour central alarm monitoring station. ‘No matter how small you home is or how large of a corporate building you are constructing, we can met your needs and exceed your expectations’ says Eddie. ‘Our system technicians are security trained, qualified and experienced. ‘I strongly believe that one of the reasons for our success has been our desire to provide professional and accountable security solutions, which has been made possible by a dedicated team and committed staff. We employ Security Officers and Alarm Technicians of various nationalities with the most important attribute being a recognized background in the security industry. Our Security Officers include people with several years military service with the British Army, Guyana and Jamaican Defense Force and the Philippine Army as well as many years with reputable security firms around the world. Our Technicians have come to us following extensive service with leading systems companies and also with the Ministry of Defense in the UK.

‘Our staff and attention to customer satisfaction is what sets us apart from the other companies on the island’ said by Mr. Bostock during his speech to those in attendance at the reception.

The future holds some interesting developments for The Security Centre Limited as they get ready to launch their new web site which will include an on-line quote section.

This will allow visitors to the site to enter some basic information such as the number of doors and windows they have, how many rooms they have, etc and with the click of a mouse they will instantly get a free no obligation quote for an alarm system.

Mr. Bostock also unveiled his plans for a retail operation, an expanded sales team with more value added services and the introduction of electronic guard tour systems to monitor the whereabouts and well being of the security force.

‘Our goal is to simplify our customer’s experience as the world trend moves towards more secure environments. With over 50 security companies on the island it has become a market where the most professional will prevail.

‘The main problem facing the industry in Cayman is that it is an unregulated one’ says Mr. Bostock.

‘And unregulated industries generally do not provide quality services. It is therefore the clients’ responsibility to make sure he is using a reputable and legal company’.
