Caymanian goalkeeper Joseph Tatum showed plenty of promise and improved his game during a memorable European tour this summer.
Tatum took part in a series of tryouts and clinics with top European professional clubs.
With coach and mentor Winston Chung looking on while Tatum turned heads in Belgium at several division-1 club sides and even while training with national champions Club Brugge, it is clear that the young man has considerable potential.
After Belgium, Tatum moved onto England where he trained with Division One side Tranmere and with the youth programme at Premiership powerhouse Liverpool.
‘Joseph is doing exceptionally well,’ said Chung, who has been coaching Joseph for most of his playing career.
‘Everyone who has seen him says that technically he is solid but there are some things that need improvement,’ Chung said.
At 6feet 4 inches tall, Tatum maintains a certain presence on the field that Chung believes will help put Joseph out in front of the competition in his age group.
‘I wanted to see how he compares to youths his age and he has done very well.’
Joseph has since returned to the island and is looking forward to heading back to boarding school in The US on September 6th.
