When businessman and mechanical whiz Mike Jackson saw the need for low cost transport he set the wheels in motion to do something about it.
And now Mr. Jackson has launched Island Scooter Rentals from the Auto Craft building on Bernard Drive, off North Sound Road in George Town.
‘We found there was a need for low cost transportation due to the high cost of fuel and traffic congestion,’ he said.
‘We saw there was a need for a fuel efficient alternative to motoring,’ he added.
Mr. Jackson has been owner of Auto Craft Ltd for the last 14 years but has been serving the motoring public in Cayman for more than 30 years.
As well as being in the rental business, Mr. Jackson sells scooters, having a stock of more than 20 for sale.
A mechanical expert with 40 years experience in the automotive business and a background that even includes being an aircraft mechanic, Mr. Jackson also offers repairs and restoration work to all sorts of vehicles including motorcycles, scooters, all terrain vehicles, golf carts as well as generators.
