The Cayman Humane Society got all dolled up recently at its annual fundraising fashion show, Friday, 4 November.
The event saw six volunteer models strut down the catwalk in an array of designer outfits and colourful accessories, all of which had been kindly donated to the Humane Society over the past year.
The show, which saw more than 150 people attend, kicked off at 6.30pm at Pappagallos Restaurant.
Guests were free to mingle and browse a selection of high-end items for sale, including pieces by the likes of Pucci, La Perla , Escada and Armani. All monies raised went directly to the Humane Societ.
Items modelled included a black, one-piece by La Perla, a beige silk cocktail dress by Fontana Couture a Celene red mini dress and a striking Casadei silk plum evening dress, ensuring an outfit for the most fashionable of occasions.
There were also a host of accessories, including bags, jewellery, belts and silk scarves, offering a complete outfit for a fraction of the cost.
During the event there was a raffle, as well as canapés and drinks on offer courtesy of Pappagallos
Humane Society volunteer Susan Thompson said that the show was a huge success.
‘The event was full to capacity and we sold a large number of outfits on offer, with one article fetching in excess of $120.
‘It also proved popular moving the event to an evening instead of our usual lunchtime event, as we were able to attract husbands and partners and those who would normally not attend due to work commitments.
‘We shall now be working hard to ensure next year’s is an equal success.’
