Got questions about cars?
Then rev up for this weekend’s Texaco International Car Show at the Lion’s Centre.
Car enthusiasts are sure to drool with envy as they look over the sleek, sexy models on display.
Racing fans will be pleased to see Nascar Bush Series driver Donnie Neuenberger.
Drag fans will be filled with elation to rub elbows with International drag racing celebrities, Stephan Papadakis and Kenny Tran.
But this car show will be more about glitz and glitter.
It’s a chance to get international attention for the Cayman Islands.
It is anticipated that editors from top motor sport magazines Super Street, Modified, Import Tuner and Speed Magazine will all be on Grand Cayman to see what the show and the island have to offer.
They’ll take those perceptions along with photographs and prominently display them in these international magazines.
For those who live and play in the Caymans, the car show will offer a chance to become familiar with the latest vehicles on offer and see first-hand what the automotive industry has in store for its 2006 models.
While auto dealers will be there to show off the newest wares, the support systems that make up the auto industry will also be on hand offering the latest accessories and gadgets.
On show too will be some of the country’s most pampered vintage automobiles.
Displays will include a variety of local and international collector cars, show cars and performance cars.
A wide cross section of vendors in the automotive, customization, boating, electronics and retail markets will feature their latest innovations.
The show will also give local car enthusiasts a chance to take home coveted prizes.
There will be title trophies like Best Performance Vehicle, Best Classic and Best in Car Entertainment, plus more.
Cayman Free Press thinks the event is so important to bring commerce and international attention to the Cayman Islands that we as a company are a sponsor of the event.
The activities take place Saturday and the day is sure to be one of enjoyment for all who attend.
Even if you’re not a car enthusiast, you may have questions about the maintenance of your vehicle. Those questions and more can be addressed at the car show.
