The Department of Tourism and SpongeBob SquarePants welcomed the Easley family, and friends, from Jacksonville, Florida, last Friday at the start of their five-day, four-night prize-winning vacation to Grand Cayman.
Ten-year old Taylor Easley was the lucky winner of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Sweepstakes, featured on the back of more than 15 million Kellogg’s cereal boxes throughout the US, said a press release from DoT.
The Sweepstakes form part of a partnership between the Cayman Islands and Nickelodeon, the world’s most recognized kids’ entertainment brand and US TV’s highest cable rated network.
‘The partnership allows the Cayman Islands the opportunity to reinforce its position as one of the leading family destinations in the Caribbean Region,’ said the release.
During their visit, the Easleys visited Stingray City, the Butterfly Farm and Boatswain’s Beach, where the Department of Tourism is putting on a special Cayman Islands Sea School.
