New hair salon set to take off

A new hair salon and day spa with a unique airport location looks set to take off in a big way.

Travellers and residents alike can step into a world of pampering and glamour when they visit the Cachet salon and day spa.

Caymanians Dwayne and Melanie Seymour are running the new venture on Owen Roberts Drive in George Town.

Make-up artist Melanie was trained at the Award Studio in Los Angeles by the renowned Amy Ward and has been freelancing for a number of years.

The 25-year-old, who has been a sponsor of and worked on the Miss Cayman Islands Tourism World pageant, can take on all sorts of make-up assignments including wedding parties, special events, model portfolio work and photo shoots.

She is also aiming to open a photo studio early next year which would allow people to come in, have a professional makeover and have their photographs taken.

Through her work Melanie says she is able to give expression to a love of art and image and get the reward of making people feel beautiful.

The recently opened salon, with a feng shui theme, has a highly trained and qualified staff with each member having many years experience.

A wide range of top beauty products are available.
