Michael Letterlough of Florida International University has been named Sun Belt Conference Field Performer Of The Week for breaking his own school record in the weight throw for the second straight meet, with a personal best 56′ 1 1/4′ (17.10 meters) performance to place fifth among collegians at the University Of Florida’s Pepsi Invitational.
Carlos Morgan of Lindsey Wilson College bettered the automatic qualifying standard in the long jump for the naia indoor championships at Johnson City, Tennessee (9-11 march), with a 23’3 1/4 leap(7.09 meters) at the Tiger Invitational at Depauw University.
Carl Morgan, with a mark of 22’11’ (6.98 meters), obtained a provisional qualifying standard for the NAIA national meet.
