Why try and fight the traffic all the way into George Town and back and face all those parking problems when there is a store right on your doorstep that saves you all that hassle and stress.
And it seems plenty of people in West Bay are finding themselves in agreement with that principle now that a new shop has opened.
Shop@, near the four way atop, is offering a wide range of things for the home, gifts and accessories.
‘It’s almost like a miniature household department store,’ says Shop@ director Tara Ebanks.
And anything they don’t have in their array of all manner of stock for kitchens, bathrooms and the household, and in toys, party and decorative items and other things, can be ordered, says Tara and fellow director and partner Craig Burke.
People in West Bay were quick to recognise the advantage of having such a store close by when Shop@ opened its doors in Heritage Square last September.
‘The response has been great. Local people have been telling us how grateful they are to have this kind of store on their own doorstep,’ says Mr. Burke.
But it was also not long before people were travelling to the store from further afield to take advantage of the competitive prices on offer.
The company is now set to have another Shop@ store at the Countryside Shopping Village in Savannah when it opens later in the year.
