Two die in traffic accident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car crashed, killing its two occupants in the early hours of Friday morning.

At around 1.30am the 911 emergency control centre received a call from a resident in Conch Point Road, West Bay saying that a car had crashed outside her home.

All three emergency services were despatched to the scene.

One vehicle, a black, 2004 model, Mazda 3 was found on its side after apparently hitting a tree and ricocheting into a post, said the RCIP.

The two male passengers were pronounced dead on arrival at George Town Hospital.

Police are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the accident or who saw or heard the car prior to the crash.
