Latinas beat Scholars

Continuing to earn respect as a force to be reckoned with, Latinas football team were triumphant in their match against Scholars at the Annex football field on Ash Wednesday.

Forward Bridgette Jackson gave the team a well deserved lead during the first half by scoring two goals. A third goal, scored by Sandra ‘Dita’ McLean, ended the game with a 3-1 victory for Latinas. The ladies have been diligently preparing for their matches under the guidance of Coach Jocelyn Morgan who has been putting them through a combined system of skill and fitness training.

‘All of their hard work is beginning to pay off and I am pleased with the effort that each of these young ladies has been putting into their practices and games.’ said Morgan.

The players thanked all of their fans for their support and anticipate their continued backing during the second round of the league. The team is scheduled to play again on Sunday, March 12th at 4pm at the North Side playing field.
