The competitive spring season of Little League is set to begin this week. Practices have been held since the end of January and players are geared up and ready to start playing official games. Cayman Islands Little League volunteers are grateful to the 26 sponsors who have agreed to fund teams for the season that runs until summer.
‘We cannot thank our sponsors enough,’ said League team sponsor coordinator Richard McMillan. ‘Their generous support allows us to provide full uniforms, including shirts with the sponsors names, to each team at no cost to the players. You can really see the difference in the children when they wear their uniforms and the pride and confidence they gain from being part of a team.’
All are welcome to drop by the Field of Dreams as there will be baseball action nearly every weekday evening and on Saturdays. The children always appreciate the support of parents and friends of Little League, says McMillan.
Game reports will be published in the Caymanian Compass each week during the season.
